Senior Offshore Wind Engineering Design Manager
Following several recent successes in the region, we are expanding our energy business through targeted recruitment of capable and independent individuals with a background of energy as part of our team. The successful candidates will be based in our Japan office.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading and developing a team of specialist offshore wind designers by drawing upon their knowledge of the international design standards.
- Development and support of structural teams across our offices in Asia to establish independent design centres of excellence for offshore wind foundations including monopiles and jackets.
- Support to the energy advisory teams in the assessment of offshore wind farm projects.
- Work together with our existing clients to promote our offshore wind business service offering.
- Support the further development and enhancement of in-house digital design tools to provide efficient and cost effective bespoke foundation solutions for wind farm foundations.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- Bachelor degree or higher in relevant offshore wind engineering fields, such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical engineering.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in energy or related fields
- Minimum 8 years in a senior position of authority in a wind energy firm
- Excellent experience in business development with an entrepreneurial approach and spirit to developing a business offering
- Good client contacts within the Asia Region for renewable energy and related offshore wind design services are preferred but not essential
- Proven experience in offshore wind design services as an Owner’s Engineer, Technical Advisor, EPC designer
