Mechanical Engineer

Our Seattle Office is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary design team. We work on a wide range of projects including data centers, hospitals, theaters, laboratories, and commercial buildings.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
• Participating in mechanical design for projects such as Hospitals, Data Centers, Laboratories, Academic, Arts &Cultural, Airports, and Commercial
• Developing mechanical engineering designs from concept through construction administration
• Thermal load modeling for projects utilizing three-dimensional BIM tools.
• Coordinating with multiple disciplines and working in conjunction with project managers
• Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
• Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences
• Understanding trends and standard methodologies in the industry
• Participating in local Professional Associations
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
• 4 or more years of experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic system components
• Experience with 3D BIM software such as Revit MEP
• Experience with load analysis software for calculations
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
• The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
• Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
Preferred Qualifications:
• FE desired, Ideal candidate will have or be working towards PE
• LEED Accreditation
Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Seattle is $88,500 to $115,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Seattle will differ.
