Data Center Leader

We're looking for a Data Center Leader to continue to grow our data center design offering. This position requires someone with a technical design and consulting background, and with significant client-facing, business development and project leadership skills. Arup’s data center and mission-critical specialists are innovators in technological facilities, working with some of the most sophisticated and data-driven companies, to meet today’s data needs. Arup is aligned with the UN SDGs and this is woven into our projects. By considering how excess energy can be re-used, we have been able to consistently deliver major savings in both energy and water consumption for our clients through effective energy design and management and crafting truly balanced data centers.

Responsibilities:
- Lead projects as a technically-focused multi-discipline team Project Director, including project technical/commercial planning support of Project Managers, contract negotiation, change management, client contact, commercial management and up/cross-selling.
- Outreach to existing technology clients to explore avenues for expansion of relationships and services offered.
- Targeted outreach to potential new clients to broaden our sector coverage and deepen our engagement in sectors where we're already active.
- Research into major opportunities and programs requiring pre-positioning and master service agreement arrangements.
- Develop an annual and long-term business plan, including client development, important project positioning, skills development, marketing plan, industry outreach activities, services offering development and crucial staff development.
- Coordinate with S&I leaders, including multinational client management, global project pursuits, global frameworks and staff mobility.
- Play a meaningful role in the future growth and development of the market in Texas and more widely across the Americas region.
- Contribute to the overall team management in the Southern geography
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Architectural).
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in the delivery of design and consulting services to clients.
- Professional Engineering license in Texas.
- Networked with clients in Texas in the Data Center marketplace.
- Proven track record to develop cross-sector project delivery teams, including in-house interdisciplinary and sub-consultant groups.
- Design/consulting project manager with 5 or more years leading design teams and acting as the main point of contact for owner/clients with full-project technical understanding and capability of leading teams composed of architecture/civil/structural, MEP and specialist consultants
- Ability to travel and collaborate with teams that are local, regional, and global.

Dallas Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Dallas is 160,000 to 230,000 per year. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Dallas will differ.
